Become a Mentor

If you are a student, and want to earn community service hours or are just interested in helping a grandparent, family member or someone else in your community develop cyber-skills, here’s how:

  1. Watch this short video to find out how the campaign got started and how you can get involved.
  2. Download the Resources located on the right-hand column of this page.
  3. Participate in one of our regularly scheduled Webinars.
  4. Find a Senior Citizen that would like to be cyber-savvy. Reach out to a senior in your community ‘ or your own grandparents. Consider starting your own Cyber-Seniors program or search below for an existing program in your community.
  5. Provide the senior you are mentoring with a Participant’s Handbook and use the Trainer’s Teaching Guide to direct you through the lessons.
  6. Make sure to display the Cyber-Seniors logo on all of your Cyber-Seniors documentation and consider purchasing a Cyber-Seniors T-shirt to wear for a when you are mentoring.
  7. Make sure to watch the film and recommend it to others.
