Become a Mentor

If you are a student, and want to earn community service hours or are just interested in helping a grandparent, family member or someone else in your community develop cyber-skills, here’s how:

  1. Watch this short video to find out how the campaign got started and how you can get involved.
  2. Download the Resources located on the right-hand column of this page.
  3. Participate in one of our regularly scheduled Webinars.
  4. Find a Senior Citizen that would like to be cyber-savvy. Reach out to a senior in your community ‘ or your own grandparents. Consider starting your own Cyber-Seniors program or search below for an existing program in your community.
  5. Provide the senior you are mentoring with a Participant’s Handbook and use the Trainer’s Teaching Guide to direct you through the lessons.
  6. Make sure to display the Cyber-Seniors logo on all of your Cyber-Seniors documentation and consider purchasing a Cyber-Seniors T-shirt to wear for a when you are mentoring.
  7. Make sure to watch the film and recommend it to others.

Have fun knowing that you are enriching the life of an important person in your community!
